When you produce video training materials you should create accompanying written materials to support the video content. The accepted practice is to get an idea then jump in front of a camera and ramble on until you 'cover' a subject and call that a complete learning system. This approach almost always ends up focusing exclusively on feel good blather about the technical aspects of the product or service and does little or nothing to speak to the personal and business issues that are killing the local business owner. It also results in each listener having to sit and spend great deals of time painfully making notes about what was discussed. There is a great opportunity open to BrickandMobile to chart a new course that would rock the competative landscape and provide comprehensive training materials (videos, recapped descriptions [does not have to be word-for-word - just capture the substance], step-by-step process flows, check-lists, etc. Do not make each of your subscribers build a wagon to move your material and sell your products. While it will cost you time and money to provide a comprehensive package you will gain incrediable leverage with us! None of your competitors is doing this, they are feeling very successful with the throw-up products and solutions they sell. People learn best when all of their senses are enguaged (sight, feel, sound). I want to spend my time selling new customers and coaching existing customers on to greater results. I hate having to invest heavy amouts of time, effort and money build out 20% products before they are flushed out fully function solutions for my business. When BrickandMobile can take an action / produce a result that will translate into a useful win for all of your hundreds or thousands (assume this is where you want to go) customers it should be a no-brainer to see that your investment will payoff hundreds and thousands of times over. I have employed this outlook successfully in several software companines where we ended up with a customer base that stayed with us through thick and thin and our actions also had prospects buying from us time-after-time instead of the bigger 'better' established marketplace leader. I want to do what ever I can to help you succeed. The more you can serve up the reproducible solutions the more I can spend my time selling and winning with your products and services.
It would be great if you could prepare a how to win a niche report with supporting materials. Make a list of your top selling niches and then work your way down the list. Layout what you would do to train a brand new sales person and backend support person on what the business issues are and how the brickandmobile solution can be used to address the businss owners needs. Talk about sales issues, project management and how to work with outsourcers to deliver wins for clients.
I want to find the deals, determine what the customer wants, sketch out how to create their mobile web page then turn the work over to a back end person to deliver. I need to manage the project and then make delivery to the client. Eventually I want to have account managers who wil do more of the client delivery and follow up processes. After that I want to pull back from being the main sales person and manage other sales people so I can focus on designing where my consulting practice is going.
