This question was raised by a prospective client and was asked mainly because her company previously had a website hosted by someone who later went out of business and so her company lost the site and the investment that went with it..
She asked whether her business could host the mobile site on their own server, to which I replied that I didn't think so but would clarify the point.
Is there anyway this can be done or perhaps managed in such a way that she could feel secure?
Also, who technically owns these websites that are hosted by you?
Thanks in advance.
Sorry, Peter, why the "?" with no words?
Is there a question that you have?
Yes, the question was raised on Feb 22nd, it's the same question I'd like answered thanks.
Our apologies - the question was answered way back on February 22, but our support admin accidentally marked it as an internal message.
Here is the note:
You own the sites as long as you are account is in good standing you also own the client as our business model is called SaaS (Software as a Service).
With that being said you are free to take your client to a different host or provider at any time during your subscription but the sites must remain on our platform. This is so we can monitor/support and update/enhance the platform.
In regards too us vanishing that simply won't happen we are not a fly by night shop with hundreds of resellers across the globe hosting thousands of mobile sites.
Hope this helps.
