I have a question about Google Maps. How can I make Google maps search by address and not longitude & latitude?
My client has a google places account, and it pulls up properly in Google Maps with a traditional search, but Google Maps doesn't properly identify the location by latitude and longitude. Instead it pulls up a marker next to the building, but says that a different business is in the area.
Is there an obvious way to make this happen within the platform, or will I have to build a different map page from scratch using the empty content module?
In the Locations module you have the option to plot your location by address and longitude and latitude.
You should only have to put in the address, and then Google Maps will plot the address. You can also use the longitude and latitude in conjunction to get the precise location for the map marker. This is all controlled from within the Google Maps API.
The alternate method as you suggested would be to create a custom map using the generic content module.
Thanks in advance.
