A mobile pass can also display notifications on the lock screen of a smart phone when the device is near the business establishment offering the mobile pass.1
A - Max Distance
The maximum distance nearest to the establishment will trigger a notification to the device that the pass can be used on that particular store/establishment.
B - Address
Check this option if you wish to add an address to the mobile pass. Simply enter the business address of the establishment. Or you may manually enter the geo coordinates (latitude and longitude) of the store. Altitude can be used if the store/establishment is on a multi-level building or structure. You may also customize the message that you wish to appear when the device is near the business establishment.
C - Address
If you have several locations of a single business like a franchised restaurant or cafe, you may click the Add Address button to add other locations where a mobile pass can be used.
The upcoming technology that will be part of the All-in-One Mobile Ecosystem, the iBeacon2, can also be integrated with a mobile pass using the LocalPass Designer.
A - Beacon Details
Enter the required information to integrate an iBeacon into the pass. These can be sourced out from the iBeacon device itself. Also, you can put custom notifications once an iBeacon activates the mobile pass.
B - Add Beacon
Several iBeacon devices can be integrated with a single mobile pass. Just click the Add Beacon button to add another iBeacon device.
1 Notifications can appear on a device when it is near the specified address where the pass can be used, provided the device's GPS is turned on.
2 iOS natively supports iBeacons and on Android devices, this will depend on the mobile pass app. Notifications will flash on the devices, provided the Bluetooth is turned on.
